I’ve chosen not to tell you about the lack of water in hot regions. I haven’t experienced this yet and maybe – if I’m a lucky one – I never will. I’m living in Germany – a country, part of the Western civilization, with a 24/7-access to clear water right from the tap. We’re talking about people using “not enough water”. The saving policy of many households and the depopulation of Eastern Germany has caused a simple problem: We’re recognizing now, that the past pipeline designs are oversized and now there is not enough water flowing through the tubes, leading to more sedimentary deposition etc. This causing an additional need in maintenance and thereby higher costs.
